Day 38 - Saturday July 20, 2024 - Eidfjord Norway
What an absolutely beautiful day we had today in Eidfjord Norway. The weather was perfect. The high hit 87 degrees and with a light breeze and not a lot of humidity, it was perfect. What a beautiful area! I will take home a lot of memories of Eidfjord Norway.
Pictures from the nature center
We had a short tour today bro a nature center. The highlight was an "almost" IMAX quality movie of fjords in this area of Norway. The imagery was breathtaking. But my pictures are darn good also.
There were some nice exhibits including some life-size reindeer and a small aquarium.
The area grows most of the apples in Norway and their treat is hard apple cider. It was pretty darn good.
I just enjoyed the weather as we sat outside the better part of the day.
I walked around the very small town after we got back. There are only 900 residents in the town. Our ship has more than 900 guests and 450 crew members! The trees on the road closest to the ship, had knitted sweaters around them. I took a lot of pictures for my knitting friends. It was really neat to see them.
We had lunch outside on deck and I just hung outside reading and soaking up the sun. It's my first day wearing a shirt sleeve shirt, capris and sandals.
Tomorrow we arrive in Stavanger Norway. We have a walking tour and hopefully the weather will hold.
Views from the ship as we arrived this morning.
FANTASTIC scenery and weather! Love, love, love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteAgain Ellen what breath taking photos and history of the area I must say this is the first time I have seen sweaters on trees
